Thank you so much for the post! Love the vibrant & rich culture. I hope the diversity of the languages will not disappear although I know it is very difficult to save endangered languages.
Would love to try the mago/avaocado layered drink!

In your photo of the Addis skyline, perhaps that is actually the Sheraton hotel in the foreground? I seem to recall it had the intl flags out front and the red tile roofs.

Thanks for recommending my books! It’s been great fun to have my life come around to a time where so many people are interested in Ethiopia…not at all the case when I was a child living in Ethiopia and visiting the U.S. every five years.

Thanks for writing this article. My 8 years old son who born here in USA (me and my wife born and grow up in Ethiopia)asked me if I can find a book about Ethiopia. I scrambled to search on Google and landed in this beautiful article and find a link to many books about Ethiopia and a reminder of delicious Mango &Avocado sprise juice. Thanks again.
