We were sent a lovely box of Japanese candy to try from JapanCandyBox.com! Trying food from around the world takes courage for some kids- but trying candy!? It’s an easy way to show your kids what their friends around the world might enjoy for a treat! The treats were interesting and mixed new and familiar flavors and textures. This would be such a cool gift for someone who likes candy, but wants to try something new. I love getting unique gifts for kids who already have enough toys and books, especially when it comes from another country. Check out what my kids thought about the experience:

Our favorite candy was the Fujiya Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate candy. They reminded us of Andes mints, with their creamy, mint chocolate taste!
The Meiji Panda Yan Yan were a kid favorite too, because they reminded us of pocky sticks! My kids had fun dipping these crispy biscuit sticks into the chocolate and candy sprinkles.
The Kabaya Kakigori Shaved Ice Gummies came in different flavors, and resembled the popular shaved ice treats enjoyed in the summer.
Koala March Biscuits are delicious, crunchy, Koala shaped cookies that are filled with a sort- of frosting filling.
Yaokin Little Gang Popping Candy is like Pop Rocks, if you have ever tried it. They make it with tiny high-pressure bubbles of carbon dioxide gas trapped inside the candy, which pop as the candy dissolves on your tongue. SO FUN!
Baby Star Shinkansen Ramen Maru was one of the salty treats we tasted. They were mini, crispy noodles that tasted exactly like ramen!
The Coris Hiyarinko Ice Gum was cold and refreshing, and Mario enjoyed trying gum for the first time 🙂 .
The Glico Caplico Mini Ice Cream Snacks don’t melt, but pack in the flavor of ice cream in a sweet cone.
Calbee Sapporo Potato Chips BBQ Flavor is a really popular, savory treat in Tokyo that reminds us of crispy, barbecue flavored potato chips.
Coris Cola & Soda Soft Candy was chewy and sweet and sticky, with two layers: one of cola and one of soda.
Have you ever tried any Japanese candy? What is your favorite?
What do you think? I love to hear from my readers:).
