Middle/High School Geography Bundle
1. Map Vocabulary Geography Lesson Plan ($3) from me:) at Kid World Citizen
This lesson plan begins with a Web Quest for students featuring 28 geographic terms. Next there is a hands-on map-labelling activity using the different geography vocabulary terms (students really enjoy this!). Finally there is a map vocabulary matching assessment activity.
2. Country Report Poster Project ($4) from Stephanie’s History Store
Each student, pair, or group is assigned a country, and in the form of a poster project, researches 11 aspects of interest of the country (flag, map, type of government, famous athletes, food, issues and challenges facing the country, etc). The grading system and rubric is built into the assignment handout which is VERY detailed. Websites are provided at the bottom to give students a starting point for their research.
3. Daily Geography Month 1 ($3) from Kovescence of the Mind
One month of social studies bell work based on the five themes of geography: location, region, movement, place, and human-environment interaction. Two questions for each day of the week. Answer key included.
4. Geography Vocabulary Power Point from Skool Aid Products
Elementary Geography Bundle
1. Map the Route Activity ($1.50) from me:) Kid World Citizen.
In this activity, students draw the routes of travelers from one continent to the next following the written instructions. An answer key is included. This geography activity is for the youngest students learning their continents.
2. Landforms Foldable with Assessment ($3) from Janet Rainey
This is a foldable book on landforms that students create themselves to assist in their own learning. Uncover each flap to reveal a photograph of each of the twelve landforms listed as well as their definitions. 3. Create State Plates ($3) from AJ Bergs
This is a set of pages for students to create their own state plates. The students can add land features, state symbols and create amazing state themed plates.
4. Learn the Continents and Oceans ($1.50) from me:) Kid World Citizen
In this map “puzzle” activity, students cut out and color the continents, paste them in relative positions onto a blue construction paper, trace the continents’ and oceans’ names, and cut out the labels and paste them onto the correct locations. Students will be challenged to discover and name continents by their shape, size, and outline, as well as to locate the oceans.

Chinese Zodiac Animals: Photographs of Folk Art ($3.50) from The ESL Nexus
This product contains clipart of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. The images are of photographs taken by The ESL Nexus of an artifact she purchased in China. The animals were created from cloth in a style common in Xi’an, China. The images can be used in classroom projects and activities or as a bulletin board display. Sign-O is a great team builkding activity that requires the students to get signatures from 5 classmates who fit a specific description such as “visited another state this summer”, “is left-handed”, “is an only child”, etc… A great way to get to know one another in a fun, active lesson!
