~Julie Yeros
¡Hola! Ni Hao! Hello! I’m Julie Yeros, an elementary educator and the creator of Globe Trottin’ Kids – a global learning resource for students, parents, and educators. Through my own travel experiences and a multicultural family scattered across three continents, I understand the importance of children learning how we are connected globally and how we are more similar than different. My goal is to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to understand the world in which we live and about our own place in it.
Globe Trottin’ Kids provides quality resources and products to engage kids in learning about world geography and cultures, understanding and appreciating diversity in our world, and becoming responsible global citizens.

Global Learning Products
- Country Research Projects Students investigate the geography and culture of a country using resource books and websites. They complete a variety of activities that are compiled into a notebook (not included), making it a wonderful artifact to share and keep. Activities include working with maps (world, continent and country), designing a menu of meals for one day, categorizing animals, describing the meaning of the colors and symbols of the flag, learning about the currency, making a mini-dictionary of common words and phrases from the official language(s), and more. These projects are great for the whole class, cooperative groups, or independent work.
- Multicultural Literature & Activities Develop cultural awareness by integrating diverse books and activities across content areas. Add a cultural twist to your fairy tale unit with Yeh-Shen: A Cinderella Story from China and play traditional children’s games throughout the year with Games Around the World.
